Bats are a common wildlife species in the Knoxville area, and their presence is often beneficial. Bats are nocturnal, insectivorous predators that feast on flying insects, playing a key role in controlling local populations of mosquitoes. If you see bats flying around your yard around dusk or dawn, it usually isn't a cause for concern.

From squirrels to raccoons, there are many wild animals in the Knoxville area that will enter homes, particularly during mating season. If you discover a wildlife presence in your home, you may be tempted to try to get rid of it yourself. Be careful; wildlife can turn dangerous when cornered, and killing or relocating certain wildlife species is illegal in Tennessee.

There are few creatures that can make your skin crawl like wasps and other stinging insects. Many of these bugs call Knoxville home, and it's common to see them buzzing around our yards. Sometimes, they even decide to use our houses as a foundation for their nests.
